If depression, anxiety or another mental health concern is keeping you from enjoying life, there's hope at Mesa View Regional Hospital. Our Intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a program for older adults who are having trouble functioning at home, but don't meet the criteria for inpatient care. This robust, 3-day-a-week program is specially designed for:
- Older adults who need more intensive treatment than traditional outpatient therapy
- Older adults transitioning from inpatient care
The Intensive Outpatient Program includes:
- 3 hours of treatment per day, 3 days a week
- A structured schedule of both individual and group therapy
- Individual therapy at least 2 times per month
- Medical management through a Board-Certified Psychiatrist
- Depression/anxiety
- Life transition education
If you're stepping down from an Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, the IOP program is designed to help you maintain the progress you've made - while continuing to work toward your long-term goals. It's an effective transitional program that allows you to ease back into daily life.

Who qualifies?

Based on the results of the preliminary screening, our team then works with the senior to develop a personalized treatment plan. During the course of treatment, you will be cared for by a variety of behavioral health specialists, including a board-certified psychiatrist, licensed therapist, registered nurse and other professionals to ensure you receive the best care possible. Through it all, they'll be treated with kindness, encouragement and respect.
