Cynthia Schultz, R.N., Named Mesa View Regional Hospital’s Patient Choice Award Winner

Mesquite NV – When Mesa View Regional asked former patients to nominate exceptional nurses who exceeded expectations, the community responded with an incredible number of nominations.

The Patient Choice Award recognizes the quality care, comfort and compassion offered by the nurses at Mesa View, and honors one nurse in particular. As part of National Nurse’s Week, May 6-12, Cynthia Schultz R.N. was presented with the award at a hospital ceremony.

Mesa View asks former patients to spotlight an exceptional nurse because patients are the ones directly impacted by outstanding care.

“Sometimes it’s just too hard to spot one nurse when there are so many nurses in our hospital doing such an incredible job caring for our patients,” says Mary Jo Mattocks, Chief Nursing Officer for Mesa View Regional Hospital. “That’s why we asked patients to help us make the choice. They see the little things that matter so much on a very personal level.”

Patients who nominated Cindy for this award said she was “very, very nice and helpful.”  One patient in particular mentioned how Cindy “pushed” her to a speedy recovery after surgery in the most kind and caring manner.  The same patient also mentioned how nice Cindy was to her family and how well she kept them informed.  Cindy always has a bright smile on her face and provides the ultimate in personal care.

Congratulations Cindy!
