Mesa View Regional Hospital has been presented with the 2011 HealthInsight Quality Award for demonstrating high quality health care and excellence in performance on publicly reported quality of care and patients’ perception of care measures. One of only four hospitals in the State of Nevada to be honored, this is also the third consecutive year that Mesa View Regional Hospital has received this recognition.
HealthInsight, a private, non-profit community based organization dedicated to improving health and healthcare in Nevada, sponsors the award.
The HealthInsight Quality Award recognizes hospitals for providing high quality health care and achieving excellence in performance of quality of care and patients’ experience of care measures. These measures come from data that are reported by hospitals across the nation. The award acknowledges hospitals that are actively engaged in advancing care in one or more of the following clinical topics that have been designated as national healthcare priorities by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS):
- Heart Attack
- Heart Failure
- Pneumonia
- Surgical Infection Prevention
