FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Healthy Woman Anniversary Big Success.
Mesa View Regional Hospital (MVRH) recently had a very successful first anniversary event for their Healthy Woman program. The grand event included a Women’s Expo and Health Fair, an outstanding dinner and Dr. Suzanne Metzger as the keynote speaker. Nearly 300 women, and a few men, enjoyed the dinner event. “It was an exciting evening and there were very positive comments about the event as people left for the evening” says Lisa Cook, Healthy Woman advisor at Mesa View.
There were nearly 50 vendors at the health fair and there was a steady stream of customers throughout the four hours of the event. Many vendors provided free services such as massages, facials and health screenings. Participants could also try out “Brain Wave Therapy” at the Natural Healing and Wellness Center booth or the oxygenating Chi Machine with Brenda Moulton from Mesquite Art & Frame. There were many learning opportunities and lots of free goodies to collect.
The Healthy Woman program includes a monthly series of free seminars, health fairs, educational programs and interactive events that will help women with their responsibilities as healthcare managers. It was created by women for women to provide up-to-date healthcare information for their entire family. The program’s mission is to empower women with the knowledge and confidence to make informed healthcare and well-being decisions for themselves and their loved ones. The generous Healthy Woman partners; Casablanca Resort & Casino, Skinvincible, Virgin Valley Dental, Mesquite Women’s Clinic, Mesquite Medical Associates, Legacy Construction, Reliance Connects, Elan Magazine and the Oasis Chiropractic Center help to make this mission a reality.
Healthy Woman monthly meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at Mesa View Regional Hospital. For more information about Healthy Woman, or to register for your free membership, visit www.mesaviewhospital.com or call 345-4319.
